Harpy Wraith

Harpy Wraith is a boss found on the Midlands map. Players will need to kill her for the quest "The Legendary Hero" in the Yeh Kuhan's Tale classic quest chain, available for players level 95+ that have reached a cultivation level of Aware of the Myriad or Aware of the Void or higher. She was previously considered a World Boss due to her difficulty and long respawn time, however as of the Wings of Rebirth expansion her health was lowered and her respawn time shortened.

Harpy Wraith can be found patrolling the plains southwest of the Ancient Wall. After she is killed, she will respawn after a few minutes. Previously when she was killed she would only respawn after the next server maintenance.

Stupefy debuff 28m Magical AoE, with added channeling showdown by 30% stat, casts every 3-5 Hits between Physical Attacks.

Manaleak DoT 28m AoE Mana Point Drain at 70% Life, 2000 Mana/ Second.


Distract debuff Armor Break Attack at 50% Life, Magical Defense dropped by 100%

Weaken debuff Armor Crush Attack at 50% Life, Physical Defense dropped by 100%

Harpy Wraith no longer drops items as of the Wings of Rebirth expansion. She would previously drop various items including materials called Dragonling Essences. These essences could be used to create a variety of level 97 and level 98 weapons. Players can still craft these weapons if they have Dragonling Essences.

Requirements and Tactics[ | ]

► AoE: Interrupt them! ◄

The Harpy Wraith uses basically every kind of debuff possible, the AoE can hit even the best geared players for 7k upwards, this skill needs to be interrupted using a barbarian's skill, or a range of genie skills, such as earthquake. The cleric or clerics who will be healing the main tank will be within the AoE range of the Harpy Wraith, so they will also need clerics on them at max distance to heal and also purify the slow channeling debuff if the boss manages to get off the skill and mana drain which she casts every now and then. Having more then one barbarian in tiger form as a backup interrupt will help as well. The channeling can clearly be seen as purple beneath the boss and skulls all around her.


► Ironheart > Blueball ◄

The Harpy Wraith's AoE is an instant interrupt for blue bubble, unless you can perfect the interrupt skill it would be a waste of one cleric. Also once she buffs herself for no channeling it will get you no matter what.


► Defensive Genies ◄

Every single defensive skill you can use is a bonus. Barbarians should have an interrupt genie, the main tank should have Wind Shell, Solid Shell, and if possible Absolute Domain and clerics should have similar. You should also be spamming these skills as soon as they have finished cool down for maximum protection.


► Pots and Pills ◄

Of course these are a must, the tank and clerics should all be using the best possible health recovery potion, and be using them every cooldown point. There comes a bit when the Harpy Wraith casts a no channeling buff, this point you should use the level 6 "God pots" for half damage for 15 seconds.


► Purge ◄

Once below 50% the Harpy Wraith buffs herself for no channeling and increased physical attack, these need to be purged as soon as possible, because not long after she begins to use the armor break and crush skill, the one that Eyes of Krimson uses, and this will trash the tank.


► Class Requirements ◄

The boss will not take as long as you think, because she has no base defenses, but she is still a level 150 boss, so the reduced damage rule that applies in places such as Twilight Temple is still in effect. The main tank will need at least 20K HP upwards; the main cleric too will need at least 7k. It will be best to also do this when your EXP is at 0% because the damage dealers will die a lot.
