Genie skills are skills exclusively used by Genies to aid the player in battle. Using skills will consume the Genie's Energy and Stamina. Energy will regenerate on its own, with maximum Energy being increased with the Genie's Vitality stat, and regeneration rate being increased with the Genie's Magic stat. Stamina must be replenished by feeding the Genie Chi Stones such as Perfect Stones.

Affinity Points are required to learn skills, as well as spirit and coins. Genies gain 1 Affinity Point every 5 levels until level 100, after which they will gain 1 Affinity Point every level. A Genie can have a total of 26 Affinity Points at level 105.

Genies have a limited amount of skill slots. Initially a Genie can learn a maximum of 4 skills. The amount of skill slots available to a Genie is determined by its amount of Lucky Points:

  • 0-50 Lucky Points = 4 skill slots
  • 51-70 Lucky Points = 5 skill slots
  • 71-80 Lucky Points = 6 skill slots
  • 81-90 Lucky Points = 7 skill slots
  • 91+ Lucky Points = 8 skill slots

Skills can be learned from the Watcher of the Earth under the Learn Genie Skill option, where the genie can be inserted into the slot to learn skills. Genies can also unlearn skills through the same NPC under the Unlearn Genie Skills option. The player can insert the Genie into the slot, select a skill, and select the amount of levels that the Genie should unlearn, making it possible to downgrade skills if desired. If a Genie unlearns its initial skill it cannot be relearned.

Initial Skills

When genies are newly created, they come with an initial skill. The initial skill they come with depends on the type of the genie. These skills only have 1 level, and do not cost any affinity. They can be unlearned, but cannot be learned again once this has been done. Additionally, genies cannot learn initial skills of other genie types.
