Rare Pets are a type of pet tamable and usable by venomancers. Unlike regular pets, rare pets are harder to obtain as they do not respawn quickly and usually only 1 of each type will spawn at a time. Most rare pet eggs can also be combined into all-class pet versions of themselves, which have the same appearance but aren't used in combat and can be used by any class.
Types of Rare Pets[ | ]
There are several different types of rare pets of varying levels. Most rare pets are wanderers, meaning that they will walk or run along a certain path. If a rare pet is not present at a particular spawn point, it is recommended to wait at the spawn point for a few minutes to see if the pet appears. The Derjan's Ancient Hatchling is the only exception to this as it does not move.
Frogling[ | ]
A Frogling.
The Frogling is the lowest level of rare pets being level 9, and the second most commonly found pet. This pet respawns roughly every 12 hours, and with 3 spawn points means that a total of 3 Froglings can spawn.
It can be found wandering around the following locations:
- South of Broken Bridge Village location: 196, 513 - runs up to 225, 540 along the river.
- Next to Broken Bridge Village location: 239, 549
- North of Broken Bridge Village location: 245, 571 - runs up to 571, 600 along the river.
The Frogling can be leveled and evolved into a Moon Toad.
8 Treefrog Pet Eggs can be combined along with a fee of 100,000 silver coins at Mrs. Zoologist in South-east Archosaur to create a Baby Froggy Pet Egg, an all-class pet.
Snow Hare[ | ]
A Snow Hare.
The Snow Hare is a level 20 pet, and the most commonly found pet. Unlike other rare pets it respawns after 1 hour and therefore is sometimes considered to be a semi-rare pet as a result. It has 5 spawn points, the most out of all rare pets, meaning that a total of 5 Snow Hares can spawn.
It can be found wandering around the following locations:
- North of Timberfield (501, 1006)
- South-west of Timberfield (469, 921)
- South-west of City of a Thousand Streams (95, 808)
- West of City of a Thousand Streams (98, 860)
- Between North Barrier Village and East Barrier Village (178, 891)
The Snow Hare cannot be evolved.
5 Snow Hare Pet Eggs can be combined along with a fee of 100,000 silver coins at Mrs. Zoologist in South-east Archosaur to create a Baby Snow Hare Pet Egg, an all-class pet.
Tabby Plumdrop[ | ]

The Tabby Plumdrop is a level 20 pet. This pet respawns roughly every 12 hours, and with 2 spawn points means that a total of 2 Tabby Plumdrops can spawn.
It can be found wandering around the following locations:
- Sparrowmark Beach, North-west of Wellspring Village (362, 690)
- South-west of Wellspring Village (397, 619)
The Tabby Plumdrop cannot be evolved.

Shaodu Cub[ | ]

The Shaodu Cub is a level 20 pet. This pet respawns roughly every 12 hours, and with 2 spawn points means that a total of 2 Shaodu Cubs can spawn.
It can be found wandering around the following locations:
- North-west of Village of Brutes (199, 453)
- East of Scorpion Valley (287, 459)
The Shaodu Cub can be leveled and evolved into King Cuddlesworth, the same pet that the Armored Bear can evolve into.
2 Shaodu Cub Pet Eggs and 2 Armored Bear Pet eggs can be combined along with a fee of 100,000 silver coins at Mrs. Zoologist in South-east Archosaur to create a Baby Bear Pet Egg, an all-class pet. The pet will take the appearance of the Shaodu Cub.
Windwalking Piggy[ | ]

The Windwalking Piggy is a level 30 pet, and the only flying rare pet. This pet respawns roughly every 12 hours and has only 1 spawn, meaning that only 1 Windwalking Piggy can spawn at a time.
It can be found wandering around the following location, in the air:
- West of Wellspring Village (402, 644 ↑34)
The Windwalking Piggy can be leveled and evolved into Lil' Dolphy.
5 Windwalking Piggy Pet Eggs can be combined along with a fee of 100,000 silver coins at Mrs. Zoologist in South-east Archosaur to create a Baby Windwalking Piggy Pet Egg, an all-class pet. In its all-class pet form it will still be a flying type pet, meaning that it cannot be summoned in most dungeons and will fly with the player.
Cuddly Pup[ | ]

The Cuddly Pup is a level 40 pet. This pet respawns roughly every 12 hours and has only 1 spawn, meaning that only 1 Cuddly Pup can spawn at a time.
It can be found wandering around the following location:
- West of Swiftwind Tribe (299, 764)
The Cuddly Pup can be leveled and evolved into a Valiant Protector.
5 Cuddly Pup Pet Eggs can be combined along with a fee of 100,000 silver coins at Mrs. Zoologist in South-east Archosaur to create a Baby Cuddly Pup Pet Egg, an all-class pet.
Kowlin[ | ]

The Kowlin is a level 60 pet. This pet respawns roughly every 12 hours and has only 1 spawn, meaning that only 1 Kowlin can spawn at a time.
It can be found wandering around the following location:
- By King's Feast (463, 428)
The Kowlin can be leveled and evolved into Drizzy.
The Kowlin is one of the only rare pets that cannot be used to create an all-class pet.
Armored Bear[ | ]
An Armored Bear.
The Armored Bear is a level 80 pet. This pet respawns roughly every 12 hours and has only 1 spawn, meaning that only 1 Armored Bear can spawn at a time.
Unlike other rare pets, this pet can be found in 2 different areas. The first area is its spawn point on top of a hill near the Village of Naught (628, 624) where it will attempt to run unsuccessfully. If it is not there or the Armored Bear is reset due to the attacker dying or going out of range of the monster, then it will wander around the Village of Naught and along the beach north of it. When seeking this pet it is best to check both areas.
The Armored Bear can be leveled and evolved into King Cuddlesworth, the same pet that the Shaodu Cub can evolve into.
2 Shaodu Cub Pet Eggs and 2 Armored Bear Pet eggs can be combined along with a fee of 100,000 silver coins at Mrs. Zoologist in South-east Archosaur to create a Baby Bear Pet Egg, an all-class pet. The pet will take the appearance of the Shaodu Cub.
Derjan's Ancient Hatchling[ | ]

Derjan's Ancient Hatchling is a level 101 pet, and the rarest pet. Unlike other rare pets, it respawns between 24 to 48 hours(verify), and can spawn in 3 possible areas. Although it has 3 spawn areas, only 1 Derjan's Ancient Hatchling will appear at any given time. Its pet egg cannot be traded. It is also the only rare pet to not be found on the Midlands map.
It can be found at 1 of the 3 locations in Morai. It does not move very far from these areas:
- Derjan's Rest, North (362, 544)
- Derjan's Rest, South (346, 528)
- Derjan's Rest, Middle (354, 538)
On occasion the Derjan's Ancient Hatchling has also been known to spawn as a result of an event.
Derjan's Ancient Hatchling can be leveled and evolved into an Imperial Skeleton.
Derjan's Ancient Hatchling cannot be used to create an all-class pet.
Respawn Times[ | ]
Most rare pets will respawn roughly every 12 hours. The only two pets that do not follow this respawn time include the Snow Hare, which respawns after 1 hour, and Derjan's Ancient Hatchling, which respawns after 24 to 48 hours.
If the servers go down for a maintenance, or on a rare occasion when the servers are rebooted after crashing, the rare pet spawn times all reset. Maintenance typically occurs on Tuesdays from 11:00PM Pacific Time and end 2-3 hours later on Wednesday morning. They do not spawn immediately after servers go up but instead usually spawn between 4 to 5 hours after servers go up. It is unknown as to what exact time they will spawn, but they are rumored to spawn in a staggered fashion, meaning that 1 type of rare pet will spawn a few minutes after another one, and so on. It is unknown how long it takes for the Derjan's Ancient Hatchling to spawn after a maintenance has occurred.
Tips on Taming Rare Pets[ | ]
- Upgrade the Tame skill as high as possible. Each level of Tame increases the success rate of taming a pet by 5%, meaning that at maximum level a venomancer has the potential to tame the pet at a 50% rate if the monster has full Health.
- For better success at taming the pet, reduce the monster's Health below 50%.
- If you are a higher level, make sure your attack is not too high. Many rare pets only have around 2,000 or more Health, meaning they can be easily killed in 1 shot. You can reduce your attack by unequipping your weapon and attacking it using melee hits, or using a lower leveled, weak pet.
- If you choose to melee attack the monster, you may need to use a run speed skill or apothecary potion to catch up to it as they can move rather quickly. Alternatively you can use a non-damaging skill such as Amplify Damage or Soul Degeneration to get aggro of the monster to stop it from moving.
- If you choose to use a pet to attack the monster, make sure to pull back your pet in time as pets do not always instantly respond to commands, meaning that you may accidentally kill the monster. This can be done either by clicking the "Manual" attack option or by stowing your pet, though the latter may result in the monster resetting.
- Use fast channeling gear if you need to compete with another venomancer. This method is not commonly used anymore as rare pets are not as popular to tame therefore there is very little competition.
- If you are unsuccessful, there is always the opportunity to try again. Alternatively most rare pet eggs can be purchased from other players except the Derjan's Ancient Hatchling.
