Mystic Plants

From PWpedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Mystic Plants are a type of summon available for mystics that can be summoned alongside Mystic Summons. There are a total of 7 plant summons available in the form of skills: Punishing Sting, Befuddling Creeper, Spidervine, Listless Blossom, Healing Herb, Vital Herb, and Spellbound Sting. These plants are classified as offensive or supportive plants, each having different effects that can debuff enemies or heal allies. Offensive plants are summoned beside enemies, while supportive plants are summoned beside yourself, or beside allies when upgraded.

Without Spellbound Sting, mystics are limited in which plants they can summon simultaneously. Mystics cannot simultaneously summon Punishing Sting, Befuddling Creeper, Spidervine, Listless Blossom, or Healing Herb; trying to do so will unsummon the first plant that was summoned. For example, if you summon Punishing Sting and then Spidervine, the Punishing Sting will disappear. Vital Herb can be summoned alongside any of these plants without unsummoning them.

With Spellbound Sting, mystics have the ability to spawn up to 3 plants at a time, with some restrictions. Casting Spellbound Sting will summon Spidervine, Befuddling Creeper, and Punishing Sting in that order. Summoning Listless Blossom or Healing Herb will unsummon Spidervine. Summoning Vital Herb will unsummon Befuddling Creeper. Punishing Sting cannot be unsummoned by summoning other plants.

Skills for Plants[edit | edit source]

There is only one skill available to utilize plants, which can be learned once reaching level 19 and the Aware of Principle cultivation.

This skill can be upgraded to a Primal World version using a skill book upon reaching level 100, the Aware of Vacuity cultivation, and a boundary level of Arcane Sky 6. It costs 30 Primordial Blood.png [Primordial Blood], an Adv. Arcane Sky Page, and 10k coins to craft the book. The skill book used is the same for both demon and sage characters.

Types of Plants[edit | edit source]

Punishing Sting[edit | edit source]

The Punishing Sting.

The Punishing Sting is an offensive type plant, and is the first one that a mystic will learn. When summoned it will spawn next to your target and deal ranged single-target physical damage. If the primary target dies or runs out of range, the Punishing Sting will seek out a new target within approximately 10 meters and start attacking it automatically. Like most other plants, the Punishing Sting also has a chance to evade attacks which results in attacks dealing only 1 damage instead of dealing full damage.

Using Lysing on a Punishing Sting will simply explode the plant, dealing 4 times as much damage.

The Punishing Sting can come in handy in group PVP situations for ticking physical defense charms, with the disadvantage of also being able to trigger positive effects from weapons such as Purify or Untarget.

Mystics can learn the skill to summon this plant upon reaching level 11 and the Spiritual Adept cultivation, and can upgrade the skill to level 10 once they reach level 56. The Punishing Sting skill can be merged to create the Spellbound Sting skill.

Punishing Sting lasts for 1 minute and has a chance to evade attacks.

Befuddling Creeper[edit | edit source]

The Befuddling Creeper.

The Befuddling Creeper is an offensive type plant, and is the second one that a mystic will learn. When summoned it will spawn next to your target and will constantly attempt to reduce the attack rate, channelling speed, physical defense, and magic defense of all nearby enemies within 10 meters for 6 seconds. Like most other plants, the Befuddling Creeper also has a chance to evade attacks which results in attacks dealing only 1 damage instead of dealing full damage.

Using Lysing on a Befuddling Creeper has a higher chance to debuff the attack rate, channelling speed, physical defense, and magic defense of nearby enemies for 18 seconds.

Mystics can learn the skill to summon this plant upon reaching level 15 and the Spiritual Adept cultivation, and can upgrade the skill to level 10 once they reach level 60. The Befuddling Creeper skill can be merged to create the Spellbound Sting skill.

Casting Lysing on Befuddling Creeper deals moderate damage and has a high chance to slow, weaken, distract, and stupefy targets for 18 seconds.

Befuddling Creeper lasts for 1 minute and has a chance to evade attacks.

Spidervine[edit | edit source]

The Spidervine.

The Spidervine is an offensive type plant, and is the third one that a mystic will learn. When summoned it will spawn next to your target and will constantly attempt to reduce the run speed, magic attack, and physical attack of all nearby enemies within 10 meters for 6 seconds. Like most other plants, the Spidervine also has a chance to evade attacks which results in attacks dealing only 1 damage instead of dealing full damage.

Using Lysing on a Spidervine has a higher chance to debuff the run speed, magic attack, and physical attack of nearby enemies for 12 seconds.

Mystics can learn the skill to summon this plant upon reaching level 21 and the Aware of Principle cultivation, and can upgrade the skill to level 10 once they reach level 66. The Spidervine skill can be merged to create the Spellbound Sting skill.

Spidervine lasts for 1 minute and has a chance to evade attacks.

Listless Blossom[edit | edit source]

The Listless Blossom.

The Listless Blossom is an offensive type plant, and is the fourth one that a mystic will learn. When summoned it will spawn next to your target and will constantly attempt to put nearby enemies to sleep for 6 seconds. Like most other plants, the Listless Blossom also has a chance to evade attacks which results in attacks dealing only 1 damage instead of dealing full damage.

Using Lysing on a Listless Blossom has a higher chance to put nearby enemies to sleep for 13 seconds.

The Listless Blossom is one of the most useful offensive plants especially in a PVP setting due to the ability to put enemies to sleep for a long period of time. Using Lysing on the Listless Blossom allows mystics to escape safely from enemies, or allows them extra time to prepare to kill their target (provided the enemy isn't attacked or purified).

Mystics can learn the skill to summon this plant upon reaching level 29 and the Aware of Harmony cultivation, and can upgrade the skill to level 10 once they reach level 74.

Healing Herb[edit | edit source]

The Healing Herb.

The Healing herb is a supportive type plant, and is the fifth one that a mystic will learn. When summoned it will spawn next to yourself and will constantly heal squad members within a 12-meter radius. Like most other plants, the Healing Herb also has a chance to evade attacks which results in attacks dealing only 1 damage instead of dealing full damage.

The Healing Herb is not affected by Lysing.

Mystics can learn the skill to summon this plant upon reaching level 39 and the Aware of Discord cultivation, and can upgrade the skill to level 10 once they reach level 75. It can be further upgraded into a demon or sage version using a skill book upon reaching level 99 and either the Master of Harmony or Master of Discord cultivation.

The Vital Herb.

The Vital Herb is a supportive type plant, and is the sixth one that a mystic will learn. When summoned it will spawn next to yourself and will constantly heal and increase the health regeneration of squad members within a 12-meter radius. The effects of the Vital Herb can be altered using glyphs. Unlike other plants, the Vital Herb does not have a chance to evade attacks.

The Vital Herb is not affected by Lysing.

Mystics can learn the skill to summon this plant upon reaching level 49 and the Aware of Coalescence cultivation, and can upgrade the skill to level 10 once they reach level 85. It can be upgraded into a demon or sage version using a skill book upon reaching level 99 and either the Master of Harmony or Master of Discord cultivation.

Mystics can further upgrade the skill to a Sanctified version, which allows them to apply glyphs to the skill to alter its effects. Applying a glyph can also allow the Vital Herb to be summoned next to any friendly target instead of next to yourself.

Spellbound Sting[edit | edit source]

Spidervine, Punishing Sting, and Befuddling Creeper.

Spellbound Sting is a skill that simultaneously spawns an Extreme Punishing Sting, Extreme Befuddling Creeper, and Extreme Spidervine. It is the seventh and final plant-type skill that a mystic will learn. When summoned all three plants will spawn next to the enemy and do different effects depending on the plant. They are also affected by Lysing and will each do different effects:

  • Extreme Punishing Sting: Deals ranged single-target physical damage. If the primary target dies or runs out of range, it will seek out a new target within approximately 10 meters and start attacking them automatically. Using Lysing will simply explode the plant, dealing 4 times as much damage.
  • Extreme Befuddling Creeper: Constantly attempts to reduce the attack rate, channelling speed, physical defense, and magic defense of all nearby enemies within 10 meters for 6 seconds. Using Lysing has a high chance to debuff the attack rate, channelling speed, physical defense, and magic defense of nearby enemies for 18 seconds.
  • Extreme Spidervine: Constantly attempts to reduce the run speed, magic attack, and physical attack of all nearby enemies within 10 meters for 6 seconds. Using Lysing has a high chance to debuff the run speed, magic attack, and physical attack of nearby enemies for 12 seconds.

While these plants cannot evade attacks like their original counterparts, they will take 95% less damage from AoE attacks. They will still take full damage from single-target attacks.

Mystics can learn the Spellbound Sting skill upon reaching level 100 and the Aware of Vacuity cultivation, and requires a skill book to learn.

Befuddling Creeper reduces Attack and casting speeds by 40% and Defenses by 20% for 6 sec. Lysing deals damage and may slow, weaken, distract, or stupefy for 18 sec.

Punishing Sting deals damage. Lysing deals 4 times as much damage.

Lasts 1 min. Plants take 95% less damage from area attacks.

How to get Spellbound Sting[edit | edit source]

To acquire the Spellbound Sting skill, you must craft the skill book using Elysian Seals, which can be acquired from Homestead collection quests. Players can get a Homestead at level 70 and begin to work on the materials for this skill right away.

To get Elysian Seals, enter your Homestead, click on the Q button in the top left of the screen to open the Homestead quest window, and pick up a Collection quest from the Collection tab. These Collection quests will require the player to craft certain Homestead decorations. Once you have the required decorations, open the Homestead quest window again, go to the Complete tab, click on the quest, and then click the "Completing quests" button to receive your rewards which will include an Elysian Seal.

Once you have 10 Elysian Seals, you can take them to Vyn Ren, the Trainer in West Archosaur (522, 659) to craft the Spellbound Sting skill book with a 10k coin fee. The skill book used is the same for both demon and sage characters.
