Skill Books are used to further level skills for each class. Most skill books will upgrade skills from level 10 to level 11 (otherwise known as sage and demon skills) but others may also upgrade these level 11 skills even further. There are several different ways to obtain a skill book, and several different types of skills or skill upgrades that can be learned from skill books.

How to use skill books[edit | edit source]
Most skill books can be used in the same way. Open your skill window using the R key and scroll down to the sage/demon/upgraded version skill you would like to learn. You will see some requirements beside its name, which is usually a prerequisite skill along with a book. If you have met these prerequisites, you will see a small up arrow to the right of these requirements. If this arrow is dim, you will need to either have more spirit or more coins, which you can check by hovering over the arrow. If the arrow is lit, then you can click on it and a confirmation window will pop up. Click "Yes" and you should learn the skill. If it does not work, make sure you are not in combat mode or moving around, or try relogging.
Some seeker skills need to be used differently, however. Skill books such as Soulsever, Northern Sky and Parchedblade serve as their own book packs and need to be opened to receive the two books inside of them. You can do this by talking to Seeker Trainer Cyril in Tellus City (382, 242). Take their quest and you will receive two skill books in return which you can then learn the same way as other skill books. Note that you will need to do the exchange quest using a seeker, as the quest is not available with other classes.
How to obtain skill books[edit | edit source]
Killing Bosses[edit | edit source]
Some skill books can drop from certain bosses in high level instances.
Bosses in Eden and Brimstone Pit have a chance of dropping level 89 skill books, however these books are only for the original six classes (blademaster, wizard, barbarian, venomancer, archer, and cleric).
Additional skill books can be obtained through Flowsilver Palace, except for Belle Leun(verify), though skill books for duskblades and stormbringers will not drop there. Previously these skills could be obtained through Seat of Torment and Abaddon, however after both instances were revamped their drop tables were moved over to Flowsilver Palace although it is not officially shown on pwdatabase.
One skill book, Bewitch (Tiger), has a 3% chance of dropping upon killing Aurogon, the Dragon Emperor in Advanced Endless Universe.
Crafting Skill Books[edit | edit source]
Most skill books can be manufactured via skill book clips. There are several different types of skill book clips with their own method of manufacturing them.
Level 79 skills[edit | edit source]
Level 79 skills of each class can be crafted at the Ancient Forge: Fire in Old Heaven's Tear. These skill books require 20 Apocalypse Pages and 10 Medium Inks to craft. The Apocalypse Pages can be found by killing Wraiths in Eden, Brimstone Pit and some Twilight Temple modes, or crafting them with 18 Perfect·Token of Luck for 5 pages at the PW Boutique Agent, while the Medium Inks can be purchased for 100,000 coins each at some merchants, but not all of them. Some merchants that do sell the inks include Vendor Tang in Old Heaven's Tear and Merchant Blink in City of Raging Tides.
Level 100 skills[edit | edit source]
Level 100 Celestial Sage or Celestial Demon skills for each class can also be crafted at the Ancient Forge: Fire in Old Heaven's Tear. These skill books require 20 Chrono Pages and 10 Medium Inks to craft. Chrono Pages can be found by killing World Bosses and Mini World Bosses, crafting with rare items found from Treasure Hunting, or with a Perfect·Token of Best Luck at the PW Boutique Agent. Medium Inks can be purchased for 100,000 coins each at some merchants, but not all of them. Some merchants that do sell the inks include Vendor Tang in Old Heaven's Tear and Merchant Blink in City of Raging Tides.
Mysterious Pages[edit | edit source]
Mysterious Pages used to be able to be crafted with Perfect·Token of Luck, however as of the Neverfall Content Update, this method of obtaining them were removed. Instead, Mysterious Pages can be found by killing Hellfire Abomination and Queen of Agony, Xipher in Seat of Torment and Peachblossom Ritualist and Borobudur Dungeon Lord in Abaddon. 50 Mysterious Pages are needed to make a single sage or demon book clip. The book clips can be crafted at any PW Boutique Agent, usually located near the Banker in major cities.
Old Book Pages[edit | edit source]
Old Book Pages can be obtained through drops in Flowsilver Palace or bosses in Delta. They can also be manufactured with Shiny Flowsilver Coins, Warsoul Tags through the Tournament Event, or with Book Credit Cards from Cube of Fate. 20 Old Book Pages can be used at the Nature Forge: Skill Books in the City of a Thousand Streams to create a sage or demon skill book clip for any class.
Page of Fate[edit | edit source]
Pages of Fate can be obtained as a prize upon completing the Cube of Fate, as a drop in Flowsilver Palace, manufactured with Shiny Flowsilver Coins, Warsoul Tags through the Tournament Event, or with Book Credit Cards from Cube of Fate. 30 Pages of Fate can be used at the Fate Forge in Cube of Fate room 1 to create a sage or demon skill book clip for any class.
Lucky Coins[edit | edit source]
Lucky Coins can be exchanged for level 100 Morai skill books at Assistant Wang Tsai, usually located near the Banker in any major city. There are three Morai skill book packs, one for each order, and cost 100 Lucky Coins each. Opening the skill book pack will give the player a skill book based on their class and based on the order of the skill book pack they chose. If the particular order usually offers more than one skill book, such as Leap Left and Leap Right for archers in Corona, then they will receive both skill books. Players are not required to join any particular order to be able to open the skill book pack.
Buying Skill Books[edit | edit source]
Most skill books can be purchased from other players in consignment shops, commission shops, or in the auction house. In the auction house, some skills cannot be purchased from there such as skills obtained from Advanced Endless Universe.
Buying from the Boutique[edit | edit source]
The Boutique's Star Level system allows players to purchase skill book packs. Through this method it is possible to obtain every single sage or demon skill book for each class, however can be quite costly as each skill book pack costs 30 gold, though it is the easiest method to obtaining them provided that the player charges gold. There are 4 skill book packs total for each class and cultivation, totaling to 120 gold. All books from these packs are tradable.
Bidding Hall[edit | edit source]
The Bidding Hall occasionally stocks skill books for each class. For most classes these skills include sage, demon, and Morai skill books, however for duskblades and stormbringers only Morai and level 79 and Celestial Sage/Celestial Demon skills are available. Upon winning a skill book from the Bidding Hall, players can either trade or sell the scroll or ticket they receive from the mailbox, or they can exchange it for the respective skill book though this skill book cannot be traded(verify).
Morai[edit | edit source]
Each order in Morai sells skill books. There are level 80 skill books for all classes except duskblades and stormbringers, designed to be lower-level versions of various Advanced Endless Universe skills. There are also level 89 skill books for duskblades and stormbringers, and level 100 skill books for the other classes. To purchase a skill book from a Morai order, the player must be in the order.
To purchase level 80 skill books, the player must have earned at least 40 prestige, and can be purchased with a low amount of influence (between 7-15) and coins (between 33,000 and 100,000 coins). To purchase level 89 or 100 skill books, the player must have earned at least 3500 prestige, and can be purchased with 337-675 influence and 10 coins.
In addition to purchasing the above skill books, players also have the option of purchasing non-tradable versions of level 79 and Celestial Sage/Celestial Demon skill books from each order. Each book requires Pure Book scrolls, which requires the player to have earned 7000 prestige, and then can be purchased from their order for 10 influence and 1 coin. Each order has a different type of Pure Book scroll. The skill books also require Emperor's Letters, which can be obtained from the Where is Jintao? daily quest, which can be picked up once the player has earned 5000 prestige.
Primal World[edit | edit source]
Primal skills can be crafted in Kirin Town at the Sacred Cauldron in the primal world. [Primordial Blood] is required for all skill books. In addition, special pages are required for each skill book. Each can be made with 1 Old Book Page, however have a boundary level requirement to be able to craft them, and cannot be traded.
- Arcane Sky Page: Arcane Sky I
- Adv. Arcane Sky Page: Arcane Sky VI
- Mirage Sky Page: Mirage Sky I
- Adv. Mirage Sky Page: Mirage Sky VI
Some of the primal skills are merged versions of two or more existing skills, therefore players should check to be sure they want to sacrifice those two or more skills to receive a newer skill. If the player changes their mind, they will need to use two Celestial Schisms, one for removing the merged skills, and another to swap back into the cultivation they were at originally. Note that this will also cause all of your skills to revert back to level 10.
Also note that sage skills begin with a ɸ, while demon skills begin with a Ω. These skills are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged if you choose the wrong one, so make sure you are crafting the correct version of the skill. Skills beginning with Σ can be used by either sage or demon characters.
Homestead[edit | edit source]
Homestead skills can be crafted at Vyn Ren, the Trainer in West Archosaur. You will need Elysian Seals to craft the books, which can be obtained by completing homestead quests. Each class can learn an ultimate skill (skills that start with ∆) up to level 2. Just like primal skills, some skills are merged versions of two or more existing skills, therefore players should check to be sure they want to sacrifice those two or more skills to receive a newer skill. Note that sage skills begin with a ɸ, while demon skills begin with a Ω. These skills are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged if you choose the wrong one, so make sure you are crafting the correct version of the skill. Skills beginning with Σ can be used by either sage or demon.
Neverfall[edit | edit source]
Sanctified skills are upgraded versions of existing skills. Unlike other skill upgrades, most of the sanctified skills learned combine the effects of the sage and demon versions of a skill. These skills are required in order to use glyphs. Sanctified skills can be crafted at Royal Knight Hector in Neverfall City, by crafting a Sanctified Tome. Opening this tome will give you the book of your class. There are a total of 13 Sanctified Tomes; 6 of them can be crafted using 5 Neverfall Squire's Badges, while the other 7 can be crafted using 5 Neverfall Squire's Badges and 1 Neverfall Knight's Badge.
Quest Rewards[edit | edit source]
Some skill books can be obtained as a result of completing certain quests.
Reincarnation Pestle Quest Chain[edit | edit source]
At the end of the Reincarnation Pestle Quest Chain received at level 100, the player will be rewarded with a Sage and Demon Bible. This bible can be exchanged with Lei Wanchun in the City of a Thousand Streams (131, 860) for a random level 79 or 100 skill book of the player's class, and can be traded.
Lycaeum of Cultivation[edit | edit source]
Endless Universe[edit | edit source]
As of the Neverfall Content Update, sage and demon skills can also be obtained through Endless Universe. Upon completing the instance, players will receive an Order of Blades. They can exchange this with Zirihk Slanh for an item of their choice, including a Sage/Demon Skill Book Chest. Using this item will allow the player to choose a sage or demon book clip of their given class, which contains a random skill book.
Advanced Endless Universe[edit | edit source]
After completing Advanced Endless Universe, players will be able to choose an award from Prophet Zakaresh inside the dungeon. The player can choose from an Endless Dragon-Emperor Chest and Reflective Shard, or an Advanced Skill Book Chest as a reward. The Endless Dragon-Emperor Chest has a small chance of containing skill books. These skill books can either be upgraded versions of level 80 Morai skills, or Advanced Endless Universe specific skills. The Advanced Skill Book Chest contains a random skill book according to the player's class, and can be a level 79, Celestial Sage/Demon, or Morai skill book.
