Swords to Plowshares is a daily quest available in the Western Steppes. It is available to players that are level 100 and Mirage Sky I to Twilight Sky X, meaning that the player must also have reawakened at least twice.

This quest was required to finish the First Contact Historical Phase. It unlocked the A Dark Dawn quest chain, which is a part of the Neverfall Quest Chain.

Description[edit | edit source]

Use one of the vehicles to help the farmers on the Silent Plains protect their crops. The four vehicle models behind the Wenham Granary Manager will give you instructions on their use.

Objectives[edit | edit source]

Take the quest from the Wenham Granary Manager in the Silent Plains, south-east of Wenham. You will receive 1 of 4 possible tasks:

Make it Rain[edit | edit source]

Use an Aerial Fertilizer to fertilize Withered Sprouts at the farms on the Silent Plains.

  1. For this quest you will need an Aerial Fertilizer. Talk to the Wenham Granary Manager and he will spawn one for you.
  2. Climb into the Aerial Fertilizer by clicking on it and then click the arrow button prompt on-screen. If you don't do this within 20 seconds the machine will disappear.
  3. Kill 6 Withered Sprouts. You will need to do this with the Aerial Fertilizer as they have a lot of HP. To do this:
    1. After a while, your Aerial Fertilizer will take flight and move automatically around the field where the sprouts are.
    2. Hold down the right button on your mouse to aim your fertilizer at a sprout. You will see a crosshair in the middle of your screen that you must line up with one of the sprouts.
    3. While holding down the right button on your mouse, left-click to fire some fertilizer at the sprouts.
  4. Once you have fertilized enough sprouts you will be ejected from the machine and will receive your rewards.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Try not to fire too rapidly at the sprouts, this does not usually work.
  • Aim for sprouts that are closer to you for a better chance of hitting them.
  • Aerial Fertilizers disappear automatically 5 minutes after you get into one.
  • If your Aerial Fertilizer does disappear you can use a public one. There are multiple flying through the air around the farm plots south-east of the Granary Manager at around a height of 12.

Kill Weeds Dead[edit | edit source]

Use a Weed Eradicator to kill Persistent Weeds at the farms on the Silent Plains.

  1. For this quest you will need a Weed Eradicator. Talk to Wenham Granary Manager and he will spawn one for you.
  2. Climb into the Weed Eradicator by clicking on it and then click the arrow button prompt on-screen. If you don't do this within 20 seconds the machine will disappear.
  3. Kill 20 Persistent Weeds. You will need to do this with the Weed Eradicator as they have a lot of HP. To do this:
    1. Walk over to one of the two farm plots with green plants north-west of the Granary Manager.
    2. On your screen is an interface with two skills: Spray Pesticide, and Run Over.
Spray Pesticide, used by pressing the 1 key, will start an AoE around you for a short time that will kill Persistent Weeds and Mischievous Raccoons.
Run Over, used by pressing the 2 key, will remove all slow status effects and make you immune to movement debuffs for a short period of time.
    3. Use the Spray Pesticide Skill to kill the weeds.
  4. Once you have killed enough weeds you will be ejected from the machine and will receive your rewards.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Mischievous Raccoons will be hanging around the farm plots and can slow you down severely. You can use the Run Over skill to remove the slow debuff they cause, or spray them with the Spray Pesticide skill to kill them.
  • Weed Eradicators disappear automatically 5 minutes after you get into one.
  • If your Weed Eradicator does disappear you can use a public one, found around two farm plots with green plants north-west of the Granary Manager: (339, 484) or (333, 478).

Pest Control[edit | edit source]

Use an Insect Annihilator to exterminate Annoying Pests at the farms on the Silent Plains.

  1. For this quest you will need an Insect Annihilator. You will have to use a public one since the Granary Manager will not spawn one for you.
  2. Insect Annihilators can be found all around the farm plots south-east of the Granary Manager, on the ground. Click on one and then click the arrow button prompt on-screen. These machines do not move around.
  3. Kill 8 Annoying Pests. You will need to do this with the Insect Annihilator as they have a lot of HP. To do this:
    1. Hold down the right button on your mouse to aim your annihilator at some pests. You will see a crosshair in the middle of your screen that you must line up with the pests.
    2. While holding down the right button on your mouse, left-click to fire some annihilator at the pests.
  4. Once you have killed enough pests you will be ejected from the machine and will receive your rewards.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Insect Annihilators disappear automatically 2 minutes after you get into one.

Don't Fear the Reaper[edit | edit source]

Use a Power Reaper to harvest Ripe Wheat at the farms on the Silent Plains.

  1. For this quest you will need a Power Reaper. Talk to Wenham Granary Manager and he will spawn one for you.
  2. Climb into the Power Reaper by clicking on it and then click the arrow button prompt on-screen. If you don't do this within 20 seconds the machine will disappear.
  3. Kill 6 Ripe Wheat. You will need to do this with the Power Reaper as they have a lot of HP. To do this:
    1. Walk over to one of the two farm plots with the wheat plants north-west of the Granary Manager.
    2. On your screen is an interface with two skills: Reap, and Run Over.
Reap, used by pressing the 1 key, will attack your target with a strong skill, capable of killing Ripe Wheat and Mischievous Raccoons.
Run Over, used by pressing the 2 key, will remove all slow status effects and make you immune to movement debuffs for a short period of time.
    3. Use the Reap skill to kill the wheat.
  4. Once you have harvested enough Ripe Wheat you will be ejected from the machine and will receive your rewards.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • Mischievous Raccoons will be hanging around the farm plots and can slow you down severely. You can use the Run Over skill to remove the slow debuff they cause, or slice them with the Reap skill to kill them.
  • Power Reaper and Vermin Exterminators disappear automatically 5 minutes after you get into one.
  • If your Power Reaper does disappear you can use a public one, though they are mistakenly called Vermin Exterminators. They can be found around the two farm plots with wheat growing in them, north-west of the Granary Manager: (337, 478) or (332, 488).
