Celestial Vale Quest Chain

Heroes' Terrace, the starting area in the Celestial Vale.

The Celestial Vale Quest Chain is a series of story quests that take place in the Celestial Vale. This is the first quest chain that newly-created characters will experience, and will teach players some of the basics of playing the game. Some players may receive extra quests during this quest chain depending on their class. It is listed in the First Trial section of the Perfect World Anecdote and will award players with 1 Insight Point for completion.

Following this quest chain will level a new character up to level 20 without any EXP bonuses activated. During the quest chain players will receive equipment, fashion, and a flyer. Completing the quest chain will award players with the Celestial Vale Guardian title, and a Snowgrind Fox transform card which can temporarily transform players into the Lightsail Cave boss, the Snowgrind Fox.

To leave the Celestial Vale without assistance from other players, the player will have to complete this quest chain. You will also need to complete your Spiritual Adept and Aware of Principle Spiritual Cultivation quests to complete this quest chain.

As of the Wonderland and Wings of Rebirth expansions, some quests have been retired from the quest chain. They will show as requiring level 150 to turn in; as this is an impossible level to reach, the player can safely trash quests with such a requirement.

Tips

• Next to NPCs, monsters, and other locations on this page are coordinates which show like (123, 456). These coordinates can be seen at the top-right corner of the screen about the minimap, and helps the player to navigate to certain areas.
  • Some coordinates may show as (123, 456 ↑12). The ↑12 is a height coordinate, indicating that the player may find their destination in the air instead of on the ground.
• You can check your Map by pressing the M key to see where to find your objectives. It will not show available quests.
• Many quests in this quest chain require the player to do them in order, so that they can unlock more quests.
• Previously quests in this quest chain had a maximum level requirement, but this requirement has since been removed. Quests still have a minimum level requirement.
• This quest chain also involves hidden quests which can only be found by finding certain NPCs in the Celestial Vale. These quests have a minimum and maximum level requirement.
• At level 18-20 you may see some non-story quests (not blue in color). These quests cannot be attempted until after you leave the Celestial Vale.

The Perfect Chronicles item can be used by right-clicking it in your inventory to activate the Perfect Chronicles, a collection of lore in Perfect World. The Perfect Chronicles can be accessed from the Character Info window by pressing the C key and clicking the Chronicles button at the bottom of the window.

If the player has already acquired the Perfect Chronicles, they can safely sell this item to an NPC. If they accidentally sell it before being able to use it, there is another opportunity to get one in the Millennium War quest chain once reaching Reawakening 2 level 100 with a boundary level of Mirage Sky 1 or higher.

Purity of Spirit

1. Collect an Essence of Purity by killing a Star Spirit around the outskirts of Heroes' Terrace at (337, 519) and (326, 535).
2. Give the Essence of Purity to Sekron Shien at Heroes' Terrace (327, 526).

1. Collect a Monster Cat's Spirit by killing a Monster Cat outside Heroes' Terrace (334, 520). It has a 70% drop rate.
2. Give the spirit to Senior Scribe at Heroes' Terrace (328, 522). He will give the player a Snowspirit Feline Mount Egg.
3. Talk to Pet Manager Fevin at Heroes' Terrace (326, 528). The player can hatch the egg at the Pet Manager to get a Snowspirit Feline mount. It has a base running speed of 7.0m/s.

Note: Previously the quest chain would give the player a Purple Fox Egg which would hatch a Purple Fox mount with a base running speed of 7.0m/s.

Quest is automatically acquired after completing Blood Magic.

1. Go to (320, 585) in Jadespring Forest.
2. A Drunk Monkey will appear for 1 minute. Kill the Drunk Monkey to get the Drunk Monkey's Soul. Only the player that spawned the Drunk Monkey can attack it.
   • If the Drunk Monkey disappears, trash the quest. You will be able to pick it up again at Wu Izen in Jadespring Forest (319, 580).
3. Give the soul to Wu Izen in Jadespring Forest (319, 580).

3. Go to the eastern part of God's Eye Lake (362, 559). A Shadow of the God's Eye will appear, which you must kill.

The Shellsea Undine

Quest is automatically acquired after completing Cleansing the Lake

1. Kill the Shellsea Undine in the middle of God's Eye Lake (356, 560) to get the Shellsea Shark Spirit.

The Maiden's Summon

There are no prerequisite quests to receive this quest. It is essential to do this quest in order to get a flyer. If the player leaves the Celestial Vale early they can return to do this quest.

Quest Dispatcher: Colormask, Lorreway City (383, 577)

1. The player will be placed on a phoenix and be flown around for almost 2 minutes, before finally stopping at Sigil Palace above God's Eye Lake (362, 566 ↑13).
   • If you are unable to get on the phoenix, make sure you are in human form if you are a barbarian or a venomancer.

Visit the Celestial Maiden

It is essential to do this quest in order to get a flyer. If the player leaves the Celestial Vale early they can return to do this quest.

Quest is automatically acquired after completing The Maiden's Summon

1. Talk to Overseer Yen Zutien in Sigil Palace (363, 566 ↑12). If you fall off before completing this quest you can trash it in your quest log to be teleported back to Colormask. Take the quest from her and you will be teleported back up to Sigil Palace so you can finish the quest.

   • The flower has an 80% drop rate so if the stamen doesn't drop, dig another Sapphira Flower.
2. Give the stamen to Fearen at Skyline Loft (485, 521 ↑15).

The Crown of the Dead

1. Talk to Elder Omenrich at Skyline Loft (489, 526 ↑13).
2. Kill 3 Tuskmouth Dragonblades near the Old Solar Temple Ruins (476, 536).
3. Talk to Elder Omenrich again at Skyline Loft (489, 526 ↑13).
4. Collect The Crown of the Dead by killing the Ancestral Spirit at Skyline Loft (483 523 ↑13).
5. Give the crown to Fearen at Skyline Loft (485, 521 ↑15).

The Last Soulkeeper

Quest Dispatcher: Fearen, Skyline Loft (485, 521 ↑15)

1. Go below Skyline Loft (486, 523 ↑6).
2. A hostile Fearen will spawn for 1 minute. Kill him. Only the player who spawned Fearen can attack him.
   • If the Fearen monster disappears, trash the quest. You will be able to pick it up again at the Fearen NPC at Skyline Loft (485, 521 ↑15).
3. Talk to the Celestial Immortal at Skyline Loft (487, 521 ↑15). Fearen was rescued by their healers and did not actually die.

End the Riftbeast

1. Kill the Polaris Riftbeast north of Skyline Loft (491, 540) to get Polaris Riftbeast's Soul.

4. Talk to Lerne Feyan in Konton (476, 586).

Sealing the Cave

Quest Dispatcher: Lerne Feyan, Konton (476, 586)

1. The player will receive a Sealing Charm.
2. Enter Lightsail Cave through the crystal in the middle of Konton (485, 586).
3. Collect the Sealing Stone from the Seal Stone inside the first room in Lightsail Cave (360, 561).
4. Leave Lightsail Cave through the red portal at (362, 567).
5. Give the Sealing Stone to Lerne Feyan in Konton (476, 586).

Rewards: 11 Silver Coins, 5200 Experience, 2080 Spirit, 1 Reputation

To take the next quest, the player will need to finish their level 19 Spiritual Cultivation quest, which involves going through Lightsail Cave and killing the Snowgrind Fox. Some players may require help to do the dungeon but it is possible to come back at a higher level and solo it later.

Level 20

Glorious Return

This quest is only available after completing your Aware of Principle Spiritual Cultivation quests.

This quest will teleport the player outside of the Celestial Vale. Do not take this quest if you are not ready to leave.

Quest Dispatcher: Lerne Feyan, Konton (476, 586)

1. Upon taking this quest, the player will be teleported to Archosaur (521, 629) in the Midlands, where they can continue their journey.

Rewards: Storm Teleport Stone (15 Days), 4 Silver Coins, 1600 Experience, 640 Spirit, 1 Reputation

The Storm Teleport Stone can be used to teleport to any waypoint on any map that you have unlocked, with an unlimited amount of uses. It lasts for 15 days.

This is the end of the Celestial Vale quest chain. If the player wishes to return to the Celestial Vale, they can do so by taking a quest from a Teleport Master in any of the starter cities (Etherblade City, City of the Lost, City of the Plume, City of Raging Tides, Tellus City, or Dawnglory).

Hidden Quests

These quests cannot be found in the quest log but can instead be found by finding certain NPCs in the Celestial Vale. Each quest awards a Fantasy Fruit, which can be used to grant the player 5000 Experience and 1000 Spirit.

Old Donkey Rider

Level Requirement: 9-19

• The Old Donkey Rider can be found wandering along the path between Lorreway City (372, 567) and the southwest end of God's Eye Lake (346, 552).
