Tome

A Tome, also known as a Mystical Tome, is a permanent item that you can equip to your character. It does not have any level restrictions and they have additional stats like vitality, strength or magic. This item will also keep your pet and mount's hunger and loyalty from deteriorating, removing the need to constantly feed them.

Acquiring Tomes

Crafting Tomes

In order to craft most Tomes, the player must have Craftsman level 1. Most Tomes can be crafted at the Nature Forge: Tomes or the Nature Forge: Tome Upgrade in the City of a Thousand Streams (118, 855). Nation Wars Tomes can be crafted at the Tome Furnace in north Archosaur (550, 675). Marriage Quest Tomes can be crafted at the Matchmaker Servant in west Archosaur (523, 655).

Crafting a level 1 Tome requires 3 Mystical Tome Fragments and 4 Mystical Tome Pages. Crafting a higher leveled Tome requires a certain Tome that is 1 level lower than the Tome the player wishes to craft, as well as Books of Old Principles which can be acquired by decomposing Tomes. Generally to upgrade a Tome the player will keep upgrading the same Tome, and decompose multiple level 1 Tomes in order to get the required Book of Old Principles to upgrade it. Level 5 Tomes can also be crafted using a Script of Fate, which can be acquired from various packs purchased from the Boutique or through the Treasure System.

Mystical Tome Fragments are a reward for completing stages in the Valley of Reciprocity. They can also be crafted using Flawless Pills of Truth which are acquired through the Treasure Hunting daily quest.

Mystical Tome Pages can be crafted using 20 Perfect·Tokens of Luck, either at the PWI Boutique Agent in major cities, or at the Forge: Item Exchange in the City of a Thousand Streams (118, 856). They can also be purchased from the Boutique under the Shop > Misc tab. 1 page costs 1 gold, while a bundle of pages costs 9 gold.

Purchasing Tomes

Most Tomes can typically be purchased from other players or the Auction House. Certain Tomes can also be purchased from various NPCs.

An Arcane Book: Pet is a type of Tome that is time-limited to 7 days but does not add any stats. It is purely designed to keep a mount or pet's hunger from deteriorating but it is expensive. It can be purchased from the Boutique for 2 gold or the Event Boutique for 10 event gold.

The Nature Forge: Tomes, Nature Forge: Tome Upgrade, and Nature Forge: Tome Advanced in the City of a Thousand Streams (118, 855) offers a level 1 Tome, Pure White, for 100,000 silver coins. This Tome has a stat increase of Critical Hit Rate +1%, and cannot be used to upgrade other Tomes. It can be exchanged for 10 Festive and Fresh Dumplings at the Nature Forge: Tomes under the Recycle tab.

The Faction Base also offers a selection of Tomes at the Faction Merchant for 20 million silver coins each.

Rare Tomes

These Tomes can be used to upgrade to Nation Wars Tomes. They can be crafted using a Scroll of Tome or a Bookless Transcript.

A Scroll of Tome is a rare item from chance packs or the Treasure System. There is also a small chance of getting one from a Lucidgold Chest. It can be used at the Nature Forge: Tomes in the City of a Thousand Streams to craft any rare Tome.

A Bookless Transcript is a rare item from chance packs or the Treasure System. It can be used with any level 6 Tome and 10 million silver coins to create any rare Tome at the Nature Forge: Tome Advanced in the City of a Thousand Streams.

Previously a level 6 Tome could be combined with a Bookless Transcript for a Moonlight Madness, which could then be used along with 10 million silver coins to craft a rare Tome. This method was retired, however players who still have a Moonlight Madness can still craft a rare Tome with it at the Nature Forge: Tomes in the City of a Thousand Streams.
