The glossary of Perfect World as it was recorded in the Perfect Chronicles.

The City of the Lost[ | ]

Archaic buildings and bestial statues make up the City of the Lost, home of the wild Barbarians and the mysterious Venomancers of the Untamed. Though these heroes have fought and died in many bloody battles, none have regretted it. Their true desire in war was peace, however, and now that they have achieved it in their homeland they seek to protect the stability and prosperity of all Perfect World.

Etherblade[ | ]

One of the main Human settlements of the Midlands. Many young Wizards and Blademasters have stepped out of its walls and into Perfect World on their journey to the great city of Archosaur. For many Humans, this is where their dreams begin.

The City of the Plume[ | ]

The Winged Elves are noble and dignified people, flying high above Perfect World on brilliant feathered wings.Their people are skilled Archers and powerful Clerics, their homes elegant and atmospheric, and their homeland full of forests and idyllic beauty. Beneath the canopy of the great tree lies the City of the Plume, the grand heart of their territory.

Tellus City[ | ]

Tellus City is home to the Earthguard, warriors chosen by Radiance to protect Perfect World from the Wraiths. Though long buried beneath the surface of the earth, when the Wraiths once again threatened Perfect World these Mystics and Seekers emerged from their long slumber to do battle once more.

The City of Raging Tides[ | ]

The three Barrier Islands are located at the southernmost edge of the Sea of Reality, across the Forbidden Sea. Ever since the Tideborn elders used the Dimensional Cataclysm ritual to destroy the Wraiths and push their islands further out to sea, it has been considered a land forsaken by the gods. But now their ruined city has been rebuilt, and these aquatic Assassins and Psychics are venturing out into Perfect World once more.

Dawnglory[ | ]

Many years ago, the Divine Child sent his children out of the Realm of Garrow and into Perfect World on a flying ship. Arriving on an island at the northern end of the Endless Sea, they turned their ship into a city named Dawnglory. The Nightshade who dwell here are dedicated to the defense of Perfect World, their Duskblades and Stormbringers trained to fight evil in all its forms.

Lothranis[ | ]

This mystical realm sits near the Sacred World, where Celestial Sages can be close to their gods. There is a darker side to this realm, though; within the Seat of Torment, fallen Sages and captive Demons are imprisoned for all eternity. Those who thrive in this place do so by feeding off the strength of their vanquished foes.

Momaganon[ | ]

When the gods fought over the mortals' faith, some were cast out of the Sacred world into the void. There they created their own realm, called Momaganon. At the heart of this realm is a place called Abaddon, a tiny oasis in a desert of darkness where those who tire of conflict may find peace.

Changelings[ | ]

A twisted and horrific people, the Changelings posses unmatched perseverance and determination. As the other races of Perfect World evolved, they hid themselves in the darkness. Their overriding goal was survival. In time they learnt to emulate other civilizations; to clone, replicate, optimize and transform themselves. They are capable of mimicking not only other lifeforms, but weaponry, magic and even the land and rivers. Though Changelings can inherit thoughts, behaviors and emotions from their victims, they are unable to independently reproduce. They can only breed through their matriarch, Aida.

When a Changeling is about to die, a new one will grow and devour the old one. Over the generations, some began to forget they are even Changelings, entirely consumed by the memories of those they are mimicking. However, most still hold deep within them their desire to replace all living beings with Changelings and rule Perfect World. The first to notice their existence was the Light Emperor, Alexander, when he discovered someone was using forbidden magic to bring back the dead. Those who were brought back in this manner had changed a great deal from their original selves. Alexander sent his best lieutenant, Goodhill, to investigate, but lost contact with him. Before he could continue his investigations, though, he became lost in the Primal World.

Arcane Academy[ | ]

The Arcane Academy is the heart of the magical study and research in the Western Steppes. Over its long history, it has sent thousands of excellent spellcasters into the Light Imperial Army. They teach all kinds of magic: healing, conjuration, blessing, mental control, and even the destructive powers of elemental magic. The elementalists, conjurers, and the other graduates joined the Imperial Army and swore to protect the city under the guidance of Academy Master Khafasha. During Alexander's rule, he was the most powerful mage in the entire world.

Future of Mankind Initiative[ | ]

This secret organization was created to research the dark arts of augmentation. Below their mysterious leader are powerful priestesses: Letitia, who exploits astrology to manipulate the weak-minded; Frederica, who is in charge of growing augmentations; and Sibastiana, who defends their organization against spies and intruders. The FMI is made up of powerful mages who settled down in a deep valley, in a fortress known as the Dawnlight Halls. Though they live together with the Changelings, they are protected by a potion of their own invention. Because the members of FMI cannot be replicated, the Changelings have never been entirely trusting of them. Whether this fragile truce will be maintained or shattered remains to be seen...
