Royal Sky Quest Chain

The Royal Sky Quest Chain is a series of quests that take place in the Western Steppes. It is based around the Royal Sky boundary and a continuation of the Neverfall Quest Chain story-wise.

Players can begin this quest chain once they have reached Twilight Sky 10 with a full vitae bar. Upon entering the Western Steppes they will receive a quest to talk to Royal Realm Apostle Lorx in Firefly Village (351 701), who will unlock the Royal Sky Boundary. The quest chain is offered in parts that can only be done as the player levels up their boundary.

Tips[ | ]

It is recommended to use an Ancient Gift when doing this quest chain, as the vitae rewards are high.
If you are in a Faction, you can gain a 10% vitae bonus from the quests when squadding up with 8 or more members of the same Faction.
Make sure to be on the ground for certain quests in order for certain NPCs to appear properly. NPC followers can fly but may disappear as a result of a glitch. If they do disappear trash the quest and start over.
During quests where enemies must be killed, the player may require help if they are not very tanky. Players will typically need help with killing bosses during the quest chain. This is normal, as enemies in the Western Steppes are designed to be difficult to kill to encourage players to quest together.
The player will sometimes receive quest items in their regular inventory instead of their quest inventory. Avoid discarding or selling these items.
- If the player somehow loses certain quest items they may have to trash their quest and start it again.
- If the player is unable to obtain their quest item again, they may need to send a Support Ticket to Customer Support to rectify the issue.
Quests can be found in the quest log under the Find Quest tab, in the Story section. Their name will be blue in color.
If the player cannot find any quests in their log, they may have to level up their Royal Sky level to proceed, or wait until the current Historical Phase has been completed.

Pre-Royal Sky[ | ]

Prior to Royal Sky I the player will receive a short series of quests. They can do these quests from Twilight Sky X.

New Missions[ | ]

Quest is acquired automatically when entering the Western Steppes at Twilight Sky X

A popup will appear. Confirm it to continue.
The player will be teleported to north Neverfall (350 644), near Light Empress Althea.

A Missing Boy NPC will appear. Only you will be able to see him, and he will follow you around during the quest.
- The Missing Boy can fly but may disappear as a result of a glitch. If this happens, you may have to trash the quest and start over.
Talk to the Missing Boy.
Talk to the Blind Girl in northern Firefly Village (350 712). Some dialogue will appear above the player's chat box.
Talk to the Missing Boy again. He will disappear.

Light Up the Lantern[ | ]

Go to the Ancient Lantern in Firefly Village (355 706). It is the large moon artifact hovering in the air.
The player will receive a Dew.
Kill 3 Fireflies. To do this, go to a Firefly nearby. Target it and you will be able to use the Dew on it to pull it towards you. You can do this by right-clicking the Dew in your inventory or clicking the prompt on-screen. Pull the Firefly repeatedly towards the Ancient Lantern (355 706) until it disappears.
- Sometimes you may not get kill credit for the Firefly when it disappears.
Talk to the Eternity Mushroom in Firefly Village (346 704). The Dew will disappear.

Collect 5 Dust around the Ancient Lantern in Firefly Village (355 706). The player can dig the same Dust 5 times.
Give the dust to Greenhorn in Firefly Village (346 700).
Collect a Bottle of Magical Substance from the Ancient Lantern in Firefly Village (355 706). The quest will then complete.
- Click around the ground underneath the Ancient Lantern to dig. Your cursor will not change when hovering over the spot.

The Storm Teleport Stone can be used to teleport to any unlocked waypoint on any map like the Perfect Teleport Stone, but is not consumed, allowing the player to use it indefinitely until it expires.

Quest is acquired automatically after the Royal Sky II quest is completed.

The player will be given a Pole Net.
Use the Pole Net on 5 Quasimodo Fruits to kill them; they are immune to regular damage. They are located in the air in south Titan Ruins/Messinar Valley (331 691 ↑12).
- To use the Pole Net, target a Quasimodo Fruit and use the Pole Net by right-clicking it in your inventory or clicking the prompt on-screen.

Enter one of the Hunter One vehicles around (327 706) by standing next to it, double-clicking it, then clicking on the arrow button on-screen.
- The Hunter One has only 1 skill, Ox Killer Cannon, used by pressing the 1 key when targeting a monster.
- To exit the vehicle press the arrow button on the interface in the middle of the screen.
- The Hunter One will last for 2 minutes when mounted. If it disappears simply enter another one.
Use the Hunter One's Ox Killer Cannon skill to kill 6 Magnified Bovines around (326 701).
- The player can technically hit the bovines without the vehicle, but they will not do much damage.
Talk to Mahmu the Titan in Titan Ruins/Messinar Valley (332 698).
Collect 5 Lumber from Abandoned Lumber around west Titan Ruins/Messinar Valley (311 701).

Collect 6 Behemoth Bloods around north and south Titan Ruins/Messinar Valley. They are located underneath piles of bones.
Give the bloods to the Bloodsynth Titan in northwest Titan Ruins/Messinar Valley (309 712).
The player will receive a Treasure Map. The map can be viewed from the quest log by opening it with the Q key, clicking on the quest, and then clicking on the green "Show Treasure Map" text.
Search for the area marked on the Treasure Map. It is typically located around the area south of Titan Ruins, west of Neverfall North (320 673).
Once the player reaches the location, they will receive an Eccentric Potion automatically.
- Do not sell this potion or you may not be able to continue this quest chain. If this happens, send a Support Ticket to Customer Support.
Talk to the Bloodsynth Titan in northwest Titan Ruins/Messinar Valley (309 712).

- To combine the items, right-click the Eccentric Potion. A combine window will appear. Insert the Behemoth Bloods into the window by right-clicking them in the inventory, and then click the start button.
Give the Blood Sample to the Bloodsynth Titan in northwest Titan Ruins/Messinar Valley (309 712).
Wait 10 seconds.

- The Deadsand Wyrm has 1.6 million health, and will occasionally reduce the player's accuracy and debuff them with a bleeding damage-over-time (DoT) skill.

This quest will fail if the player leaves the Temple of Death area. If this happens pick it up again at A Girl's Ghost at (316 716).

Upon taking the quest A Girl's Ghost NPC will spawn and follow the player. She can fly but may disappear as a result of a glitch. If this happens pick up the quest again at (316 716).
Kill 8 Vicious Apparitions, found in the air in the southern Temple of Death area.
Talk to the A Girl's Ghost follower NPC.

A Girl's Ghost NPC will respawn and follow the player. She can fly but may disappear as a result of a glitch. If this happens trash the quest and you should get it again automatically.

Perform the meditate action by clicking the prompt on-screen or through the Actions window, accessed with the E key.

- Only other players with the same quest will be able to see her, whether they are squadded or not. You will likely have to kill her yourself unless you can get help from players with the same quest.
- If you try to hit the projection without the quest (by AoEing other monsters nearby) she will not appear, and instead of seeing damage you take you will see the message "This place is teeming with poisonous miasma. You will take (number) damage. Please leave as soon as possible!"
Talk to Aida at the Temple of Death (324 744). She only appears for this quest, and will disappear after talking to her.

Lieutenant Gerd will spawn and follow the player. He can fly but may disappear as a result of a glitch. If this happens trash the quest, go to (341 736), and you should get it again automatically.
Go to Dragonfly Perch at (349 733), east of the Temple of Death and north of Firefly Village.

Create a Painkiller by combining the Inflammatory Herb and Staunching Herbs.
- To combine the items, right-click the Inflammatory Herb. A combine window will appear. Insert the Staunching Herbs into the window by right-clicking them in the inventory, and then click the start button.
Give the Painkiller to the Dragonfly Perch Deputy at Dragonfly Perch (348 741).
