Skill Books are used to further level skills for each class. Most skill books will upgrade skills beyond their sage and demon versions. There are multiple different ways to obtain a skill book, with different types of skills or skill upgrades that can be learned from skill books.
Previously, skill books were used to learn or upgrade Morai skills, sage/demon skills, and other such skills. These skill books were removed with the Celestials Update, and players can now learn these skills for Spirit and Silver Coin.
How to use skill books[ | ]
Most skill books can be used in the same way. Open your skill window using the R key and scroll down to the upgraded version of the skill you would like to learn. You will see some requirements beside its name, which is usually a prerequisite skill along with a book. If you have met these prerequisites, you will see a small up arrow to the right of these requirements. If this arrow is dim, you will need to either have more spirit or more silver coins or gold coins, which you can check by hovering over the arrow. If the arrow is lit, then you can click on it and a confirmation window will pop up. Click "Yes" and you should learn the skill. If it does not work, make sure you are not in combat mode or moving around, or try relogging.
How to obtain skill books[ | ]
All skill books that can be used are acquired through crafting, and cannot be traded.
Note that many skill books and their materials that are no longer used in the game still appear in certain areas of the game (such as killing bosses in Eden and Brimstone Pit). This is an error and should be corrected in a future update.
Primal World[ | ]
Primal skills can be crafted in Kirin Town at the Sacred Cauldron in the Primal World. 
[Primordial Blood] is required for all skill books. In addition, special pages are required for each skill book. Each can be made with 1 Old Book Page, however have a boundary level requirement to be able to craft them.

Some of the primal skills are merged versions of two or more existing skills, therefore players should check to be sure they want to sacrifice those two or more skills to receive a newer skill. If the player changes their mind, they will need to use two Celestial Schisms, one for removing the merged skills, and another to swap back into the cultivation they were at originally. Note that this will also cause all of your skills to revert back to level 10.
Also note that sage skills begin with a ɸ, while demon skills begin with a Ω. These skills are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged if you choose the wrong one, so make sure you are crafting the correct version of the skill. Skills beginning with Σ can be used by either sage or demon characters.
Homestead[ | ]
Homestead skills can be crafted at Vyn Ren, the Trainer in West Archosaur. You will need Elysian Seals to craft the books, which can be obtained by completing homestead quests. Each class can learn an ultimate skill (skills that start with ∆) up to level 2. Just like primal skills, some skills are merged versions of two or more existing skills, therefore players should check to be sure they want to sacrifice those two or more skills to receive a newer skill. Note that sage skills begin with a ɸ, while demon skills begin with a Ω. These skills are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged if you choose the wrong one, so make sure you are crafting the correct version of the skill. Skills beginning with Σ can be used by either sage or demon.
Neverfall[ | ]
Sanctified skills are upgraded versions of existing skills. Unlike other skill upgrades, most of the sanctified skills learned combine the effects of the sage and demon versions of a skill. These skills are required in order to use glyphs. Sanctified skills can be crafted at Royal Knight Hector in Neverfall City, by crafting a Sanctified Tome. Opening this tome will give you the book of your class. There are a total of 13 Sanctified Tomes; 6 of them can be crafted using 5 Neverfall Squire's Badges, while the other 7 can be crafted using 5 Neverfall Squire's Badges and 1 Neverfall Knight's Badge.
